Bringing Art to Life
Downtown Arts District
Downtown Hamilton’s art scene is growing, especially with the help of Artspace Hamilton. The Fitton Center for Creative Arts, Butler Tech School of the Arts, and Miami Valley Ballet Theatre anchor the district. Mainstays like Mehas Music and Miami Hamilton Downtown concerts draw consistent foot traffic and new studios such as Pop Revolution and InsideOut Studio are popping up.
RiversEdge Amphitheater has become the hub of musical events in Hamilton. The Summer Concert Series brings thousands of people into downtown Hamilton for free concerts throughout the summer.
City of Sculpture
On August 16, 2000, Ohio’s governor declared Hamilton, Ohio as the City of Sculpture. In addition to the amazing Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, Hamilton has many sculptures around town, fostered by the City of Sculpture organization that continues to bring new sculptures into Hamilton. Check out City of Sculpture sculpture map here.
City of Sculpture’s IceFest is a fabulous outdoor winter event in downtown Hamilton where ice sculptures line High Street.
Operation Pumpkin is a new fall event that closes down High Street for a weekend full of pumpkin weighing, concerts, food, and fun.
Christkindlmarkt is an authentic German Christmas market at the Courtyard Marriott.
4th of July is one of Hamilton’s most classic events. The parade is great and the fireworks at night are even better.
